The UNC TLT Training Compendium, created by the UNC Teaching and Learning with Technology Collaborative (TLTC), provides a single access point to training materials in the area of teaching with technology that the 16 University of North Carolina campuses are willing to share with each other. The Compendium links to self-paced tutorials, workshop syllabi, instructional videos, course handouts, and other resources on a range of TLT topics from getting started with Microsoft Word to managing communication in an online course. Each entry in the Compendium includes indexing and abstracting, allowing users to easily browse training by:

To create this resource, the TLTC has been contacting campus TLT organizations including faculty centers, instructional technology centers, libraries, computer centers, distance education centers, and more. The UNC TLT Training Compendium is an evolving resource and is seeking new and updated training material on an ongoing basis. If you have any training programs or workshops you would like to share with other campuses, please let us know.

New for 2005: If your campus identifies an in-person workshop listed in the Compendium that you would like to learn more about, the TLTC can arrange to have the author of the workshop travel to your institution to host a train-the-trainer session. If you would be interested in making a request for a train-the-trainer session, please complete the training request form and return it to Lori Mathis. The TLTC will work with you and the authoring institution to make necessary arrangements. The TLTC will accept requests on a rolling basis.

In addition, the TLTC will consider travel grant requests from individuals who want to travel to a campus to attend a TLT workshop. For those requests, please email Lori directly.
